City Escapades : The Art District of Dallas

The other weekend we ventured down the Downtown Dallas area and visited the Art District area, where the art museums are all gathered in one spot. We visited a free exhibition at the The Crow Collection of Asian Art and wished we could go visit others, but were too expensive. This is our little adventure!

We rode the Dart train system from Lake June to Pearl St. I like the idea of taking a train to work, but it was pretty creepy at night! <-- scaredy cat.

First we walked around the area (aka we got lost).

And finally found our way to the exhibition, which was absolutely beautiful!

Laura's (Mark's step-mom) classic tilt shot. Haha!

Then we headed out to have some food. We were freezing, miserable, hungry, and couldn't decide where to eat. Then I pointed and drooled at a cute little pizzeria on the corner called Carmine's. I had Spinach Ravioli, and it was amazing. Amazing. Warmed me up all the way down to my toes.

And then we headed home.

And that was our adventure!

Cool photos, Natty! Looks like fun. There didn't seem to be too many people around...quiet spot? Thanks for sharing!
